Man, the prices are heavy. I wear the same keikogi and hakama for the last 8 years, wash them every week (no they don't fade if you know what you are doing) and spent less than US$120 on the both together. Still, I love the look of worn keikogis. I have two sets of kiekogi and hakama as Ireland is not the easiest place to get your clothes dry, I don't use a tumble dryer. About cotton hakama, they look great, but I find them a huge pain compared to rayon, I only really use for gradings, competitions and special ocasions (or when the rayon stuff is in the wash) I don't wash the hakama as often as the gi anyway |

In few days an #10000 hakama & gi will arrive at my doors . . . He told me a #8000 would be good enough and if I really wanted then i could get a #10000 set for seminars and exams. I'm happy that I followed his advise. Even though when a group got #10000 gi and hakama I was very much tempted to buy me a set too as it does look really nice. |

I didn't get #10000 because I was advised against it by my sensei because of our hot summers. ![]() I have the tetron-hakama for the heavy duty trainings and seminars, and I have one cotton hakama, which I bought without a proper consideration . . . An eager beginner wishing a cotton hakama. It's made of an utterly soft cotton,so I'm having difficulties with the pleats, and I don't mean after washing... Beside that,it's an brilliant summer solution... The #10000 is for the special occasions . . . |
