Default Cargo Hakama, baby!
Guess what I saw in the Sunday Market this weekend?

http://www.lastwear.com/market/pants/cargo-hakama

Man, if it was priced like a regular pair of pants (i.e. $40 to $50), I would have picked one up for novelty's sake.

But at that price, I might as well just get some REAL hakama.

Oops, I hope I didn't come across as mocking.

I actually asked them for permission before taking the photo, though they didn't know I do kendo or that I ended up throwing up that photo on kendo world...but hey, I doubt they mind the publicity.

In all serious, I wanted a pair! If only the price was actually reasonable....

Eh maybe it's just me. I'm in one of those moods today.

That would be so handy...

1) When the announcement is made to fill out team orders at Taikai... always have to scramble for pen and paper... problem solved!

2) When you are a ref and they give you water at the table, but have to compete later... carry some powdered Propel with you so you'll be ready.

3) If you can't read those darned Ateji Zekken and are calling players to the court... carry your electronic pocket Kanji dictionary thing.

4) Splintered Shinai? No problem... carry your Shinai splinter shaving tool thing.

5) All Japan Champ strolls by... whip out a Sharpie and have him sign your cargo Hakama.

6) I don't smoke, but if I did...

7) Can't carry coffee or Mountain Dew Amp with you during a long day at Taikai, but you can carry one of them 5 Hour Energy deals...

8) Being of Japanese heritage, this is a must for my digital camera carrying needs.

9) Way cooler than those dockers they sell that claim that you can cram your PDA (anyone still use those?), cell phone and electronic pocket Kanji dictionary thing into.

10) New 3G I-Phone so you can YouTube video of your opponents before taking them on.

Amongst other practical uses.
