Oooo, that's totally cool... I want it more than you do! That would be so much fun to play with!

Thanks for sharing!

It appears to be a musical instrument you would never want your children to have.

hahaha, Actually it isn't even intended for children. I went and read a bit about it. It's geared to musicians, composers and/or DJ's.

More info here:

http://www.global.yamaha.com/tenori-on/what/index.html

The thing costs around 1,200 dollars and isn't even for sale here. Yamaha is testing it in the UK only for now, and it may be for sale here in the US next year if it sells well, according to Popular Science:

http://www.popsci.com/scitech/articl...d-techno-crowd

Boooo. Why does it have to be tested there first?? Not fair! Well, like I have that kind of money to burn anyway...

Oh. Appears to be something I don't want to have, too. I guess I just don't understand the appeal.

Whether it is meant for children or adults, that thing will never be allowed in my house. It is a clear violation of 1 of the 3 necessities of man. Food, sex, and SILENCE.

Before I had kids I told my wife, her family, and my family, not to buy a single present for our kids that "made noise."

You can imagine how well that worked out. Now, I'm just happy when I have time for the first two. I gave up on the last. "No drum sets" is my last bastion. I'm sure that will fall when my boys hit junior high school.

If they had this around the time of "Close Encounters of the Third Kind", we'd be carbonized ash by now.

Zaarb: "What did the Earthling say?"

Weezo: "Something about your mother and father not being married when they spawned you."

Zaarb: "That's not too bad. What else?"

Weezo: "Something about your mother wearing combat boots to church."

Zaarb: "Is that all they can muster up? Sheesh. Pathetic."

Weezo: "Weellll, I'm not too sure... They also said that the human Michael Jackson is your love child."

Zaarb: "Whaaat?!? Nuke those bawstards!!!"

That kind of sex ain't noiseless, unless you can dodge all the "flying fingers" of her "moaning".
