Default mugen goes to hollywood
ok, really to Geneve, but I liked the title effect

so I'll be in Swiss for work from the 27th to the 31st of May and I'd like to know if there's any possibility to train up there in that period.

what? it could be posted on the Dojo section of the forum? yes I know, but there's another question that made me post here.

I'm trying to avoid spending 160 € per night at a five stars hotel where the conference I have to attend is, so basically I'm asking if someone (Swiss or leaving in Geneve) could give me some advices about where to stay or where to search for...I made some (shallow) googleing but I found nothing relevant.

Thanks in advance guys

You should ask Ratdeau who's an active member from Switzerland or maybe Dwez can point you to a google maps of swiss kendo clubs.

When I was in Geneva 2 years ago for a gasshuku I lived at
"City Hostel Geneva". Its located right near the main-street so its very easy to navigate from there.
http://www.cityhostel.ch/english/

If you dont mind living with two others (3-room dorm) then its 20€ per night. No meals included though...but the fridge in the lobby has beer for sale :-)....And theres a sushi-place a few blocks from the hostel.

In which case you may find the Kendo Clubs of Switzerland Google Map of use.

Just pimping.

No, Fred, you didn't forget... It's just that when the name "Pascal Krieger" pops in your mind, you refuse to think of anything besides "JODO! LOTS OF JODO!"...

BTW, do you have the documentary "2 or 3 things I know about Budo"? Recommended to everyone, no matter the art.

What, you all thought THIS thread couldn't be derailed...? Sorry, Mugen...

Interesting... for Shung Do Kwan kendo I found this. And using the link at the bottom of this bio, I arrived at the same place.

Yes, please confirm. Here's where this whole enterprise comes crashing down around me ears because it'll contain erroneous info. Unfortunately I can only base this on the information available. As I say many times over it's only through the support of the local community that these things can be rendered accurate and therefore of legitimate value.

A couple of maps have local collaborators which is such a relief for me. I don't mind doing any of these I just dread the day when someone goes off to Turkey with their bogu and then returns wishing to beat me about the head, and not in a jolly kendo fashion, 'cos I got the address wrong.

Still for all I know, it could be right!

Since when did I make it into someone's signature Good lord, I don't even remember that post, I guess I speak an awful lot of cr@p hear, I'll toddle off...

You should start with ratdeau then. If you can read french then there's this website, you might want to try contacting them via e-mail.

While googling in french i found this KWF archive where Neil posts the same address as the one i put above.

keep us posted.
