Default Pan-american?
I think there was an attempt at a Pan-American taikai (in Aruba) but I'm not sure how it turned out.

So, why don't we have a larger continental competition? Would the USAns and Canadians be wiling to travel to Latin America to compete, or it's just too much trouble? Or people in Central/South America just wouldn't be able to afford to travel every year or so?

Speaking of which, we still don't have a Pan-American federation. But with Mexico joining the SAKC it seems it's not so far away. SAKC president hinted at that at the last championship (the one featured in KW 4.3).

Waddya think?

i heard about that one abramo, and afaik, some people from US and mexico did make it to the tournament. but it was something a bit informal, not involving directly all of the national federations or the IKF per se.

i guess a panamerican could be possible because there are only 3 major federations going on, canadian, auskf, and csk (all south american kendo federation). i guess its up to the federations to come to an agreement and sit and talk about it?
