Default BBC Four - Japan Season
'Hidden Japan' has started on BBC Four in which the channel goes in search of meaning in an extraordinary nation [or somesuch corporate speak].

Last night 'I, Samurai' was on. it may have featured on the forums round 2006 when it was originally made but I'm pretty sure searching for 'samurai' will get me a whole slew of hits irrelevant to the post. Anyway it feature's South London kendoers Nenriki dojo as well as a visit to a Japanese kendo club.

It's worth a watch purely to see art critic Andrew Graham-Dixon go into a sword and armour shop and say to the woman working there "I want to be a samurai, can you help me?" priceless.

Anyway i-Player may have some of these programmes to view but possibly not that one as it's a repeat.

The programme itself wasn't good; i thought the presenter a total arse who was uninformed about the subject of the "samyurai".... it was very arty-farty too.

Got the next couple of progs in the planner, not expecting much like.
