Every edition of Black Belt magazine from 1962 to 2004 is now available through Google Books. While there's a lot of crap, there's also a whole lot of good articles, I especially enjoy Dave Lowry's column 'The karate Way', as well as the editions from the 60s. Have a look and see for yourself: http://books.google.com/books?id=ONs..._issues_anchor

The first issue displayed has a nice kendo article focusing on Gordon Warner sensei. If anyone notices other issues with kendo stuff, please post the issue date here. Volume 1, no. 1 is here and has a great article on Mori Sensei. Interesting emphasis on the cover of this issue, Judo, Karate, Aikido, Kendo are the featured martial arts. |
