My Kendo pops up in the strangest places. My wife and I just had our first child. A little guy named Joel. As I was in the labor and delivery room, I was given my scrubs and told to suit up. As I tied on my mask I realized i was straightening my mask strings like the himo on my men. I have come to realize I will never again tie my men without think of the day my little guy was born.

Also while tying my wifes gown i noticed I was tying it very close to the ties on my kendogi. My wife was asking why it was taking so long and i just had to get the bows and knotws straight and even.

SO............. where is the strangest place your Kendo or Iaido has shown up. Also the OB/Gyn was probably wondering why I bow every time I say thank you.

It did change the way I grip a tennis racquet. Apart from that, I can't think of too much. I've never tai-ataried any ajumma out of my way in the checkout line or anything (in spite of wanting to, sometimes).

Dude! That was one of the first lessons I learned in Korea. (After the first 2 squeezed in in front of me, the third one got punted out rather abruptly).
