Pass yondan while still having a family life.
Sacrifice time at work to guarantee quality family time.

I'm glad you agree. I can't possibly handle more wabba-wabba's than I currently have.

(And if you think you got away with it... your name's on my shinai. )
Good job I can run like a squirrel then

Oh I dunno;
Dante's 3rd is alright.
But I'll tell you, nothing can beat
Dante's Hell 3.37.

They've gone all digital down there, you know.
3.37??? what's that in proper speak? - fractions

I already put my Kendo and Iaido related resolutions on my blog, so you can go there if interested to see what they are. But I do have some other resolutions in my life:

- Gain control of my finances BEFORE they become a problem
- Spend more time gaming so I can actually beat some of these games I own
- Use my time more efficiently to get more done in a shorter time
- Find a groovy chick to call my own

I TOTALLY agree!

I made three New Year's oaths this year. They basically boil down to continuing my pursuit of success in both university and JSA, and most importantly to spend more time with my family. I'm on a quest to continue losing weight as well, but I didn't make that a New Year's thing, it's just an ongoing battle I'm having with myself.

Ok 2010 goals

-Practice at least 2 times a week
-Do a decent small men cut (not good…just decent)
-Improve stamina through additional training (running and buy a bike eventually)
-Build strength in the left hand, abdomen and legs
-Stop frogging and improve footwork
-Do additional suburi at home
- Learn kata 1-3
- Buy new bogu
-Go to as many seminars as the budget allows
-Find another job or get promoted (or get a raise )

well 2010 will hopefully be the year when...

I finally got my front foot straight in tai sabaki
I got my furikaeshi right - no more eights
I did far more shiai than ever before - and did it with curiosity and courage
I spent more time with real friends than with those just waisting my time seeking ego boost
I did some groovey cooking and met with friends from all over the world with the same passion for pure tastes and local products
Did as much seminars as my economy did allow
Met many people charing the same odd love for martial arts
and are now up for ikkiu
...

I have a few resolutions for 2010

I did the tenouchi one that I went for last year, but failed on the fumikomi and becoming rich...

so this year it is simple I have 2 (Kendo wise) -

-Learn to use my hips properly (for Kendo that is... no worries elsewhere)
-Win a taikai (in Japan)

I need to:

- pass my Shodan
- use my body to cut and not only my arms, use the lower-body to its maximum
- get a stronger Kiai
- going back to France to do more Kendo
- make Kendo my only goal in my life.

: )

Happy New Year!

- Talk less and do more
- Sort out club issues
- Actually set money aside for federation dues so I can compete in more than 2 taikai
- Improve in every way I can
- Remember that I shouldn't need to make New Year's resolutions to do so

You know how you're taught never to look down at the ground when coming in for a do strike? It's for a very practical reason.
