 too much like hard work!!
With apologies to Hamish..
but is it me or is this new format too much like hard work? Yes the layout is pretty, yes the colours are nice and sanguine, yes hamish is doing his best to get the bloody thing back where it was but faster.. But I can't help feeling that V-bulletin is just so crap that it aint worth the bother. My Pm's are very hard to read now( and yes hamish has worked wondesr to get them readable)..But that's it. They are only just readable - not better. It is not an improvement. It is new Labour. It looks nicer but is actually worse. the text I am trying totype now is so small that it is smaller than 8 in Word Document. And yet it will read in large print so big that Mr Magoo could read it. Hamish, the last version was a better system than this and quicker. If the purpose of the exercise was to rid the forums of me then I fear it has probably worked. Toodle -oo guys. Just not sure I can be arsed wading my way through. Lee |

 In all seriousness though, don't go! I have immensely enjoyed your threads- so much that when your around, I don't feel I need to post all that much. Can someone pay him to stay? In socks? Oh, I thought I was being serious. I was wrong. Or...am I being serious? |

There are some issues with links that go to the wrong places (the home button, the forums link from the main page, the reply to thread button) and sorting by relevancy seems to have disappeared, but apart from those minor issues, I really don't get what everyone's complaining about.

 ….you would miss us too much More likely you would nag the IT guy into installing Mozilla on your work computer and you home computer the same because it works with MozillaAnd besides …aren’t you a Gonad….you should be an example for us n00bs

I cant belive i am saying this but im with sats on this, and why put a spelll checker onn, sats are you trying to hold the whole forum to ransom now..........awsome..................if not sats could be our shop steward and he could start a forum strike !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can always increase your font size locally on your browser. Something like View -> Zoom -> Zoom In or something.
Keep in mind also that changing to vBulletin might be better for the server. Less traffic, faster loading time, etc. There are also hundreds of skins you can install, so if looks is the problem then that can be fixed quite easily. |

If the purpose of the exercise was to rid the forums of me then I fear it has probably worked. Or is this just another way for our Golden Old Boy from Darlo to increase his 15 minutes of fame??? Considering that the never ending Emmerdale farm thread of his own seemed to fade out... No no. That will not be necessary. I just wanted to re-focus your minds on to what is really importnat here - ME!!!! |

What happened to the Search for last 24 hours function? New Posts almost works except they're only new the first time you make the search. If you click again a little later, they are no longer new regardless if you've read them or not. You can almost use the advanced search function to do the same 24hr search, but you can't bookmark resulting URL because the unique query string gets generated every time. |
