I know many of you have traveled around a bit and contacted or met others on this forum in person or had them give some kind of assistance so you know what I mean by the thread title. I have been fortunate to meet quite a few people that post here and have had good experiences with each one. I wanted to thank Dave P. (Bokushingu) for the most recent encounter I have had with a board member. Last night I was fortunately able to make a practice with the San Diego Kendo Bu that was facilitated by Dave. He went out of his way to come pick me up at my hotel and take me back and I had a very enjoyable visit. I have been on the receiving and giving end of this a few times now with KW forum members and it strikes me that this is common for the board (unlike many other forums and/or life encounters).



So once again, thanks Dave and please give my thanks once again to all the SD kendo Bu members and Yamamoto sensei!

I've found that 99.9%* of people in the sword world are awesome - My GF can't beleive I'd fly halfway round the world and not know where I was staying etc. It truly is a great culture.
