Using hollow steel bars as drilling practice tools is interesting...
No doubt they are heavier than bamboo but not as dangerous and impractical as solid bars. Their circumference looks too thick in my experience to be usable though (not to mention their poor safety factor for the students eyes and teeth). |

Oh, what made it interesting was the kick-boxing like kicks to the doh which looked painful and the "sabaki-bo" etiquette stuff in another related video. The wiki bit about Kono Hyakuren sensei and being kicked out of ZNIR was interesting as well.
But yeah...samurai fitness is the kind of the defining feature.... |
