Default Cut films: movie or clip on kendo, kenjutsu, kensai, samurai, ronin, etc. ?
Other than the obvious classics:
The Seven Samurai (my fav' film of all time)
Yojimbo
Rashomon
(that movie -?- about Musashi)
Shogun
the Nat' Geo' documentary on the Kendo HachiDan test (youtube)

What other JSA derived good films (or clips) should I cozy up to watch (with charcoal roasted chestnuts and hot green tea)?

OT: Not related, but I'm also fond of "Conan the Barbarian" -- Arnold's best work.

Some lovely shiai clips, and a cute & sexy love theme too. Watch it with your buddies and prep them before the film with the words "I can really relate to the main character in this".

EDIT: ...and no way is Conan better than The Terminator. N00b.

I just took a peek at the trailer....

Is the "romance" short lived, or is it a distracting tone throughout?
Just wondering what the majority of the content is.

Terminator's a better suspense film, but Arnold's acting in Conan was his best.

Oooooh, looking forward to viewing GOHATTO: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0213682/

sword of doom (the trail of dead as he walks away is particularly well misted up...lovely camera shot)
shogun assassin
when the last sword is drawn
twilight samurai

I've been watching this show recently. Lots of kendo in it:

Pretty interesting history too.

Still trying to decide if you either have too much time to think or if you're just a little too creative...

Seconding Gohatto, that film was a huge surprise. Nothing like what I expected.
