Default I'm not sure where this goes so..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymz6L...ure=grec_index

Something about ninjas in Iran. I'll admit, it looks really cool, but I'm not sure about the actual background to it.

I'm going to have to call b/s on this one. Maybe not. The flips and stuff look cool though.

I noticed that they really have a lot of TKD stuff in there too, especially with the spinning kicks and what-not.

Well, reading a lot of the comments people say it's not true Ninjutsu, but whatever it is, I think we can all agree on a few things, you gotta respect them for what they can do, their agility and speed are great, could they use this in combat? Sure, why not, if they are taught fighting skills as much as they taught how to move around, putting that all together can only lead to good things coming out of it all.

That's because true ninjutsu, whatever that is, doesn't exist. What is taught as ninjutsu today is a strictly modern art and imo, almost complete bs.
read me or me
should get you started. Although I'll give credit that many of the techniques that are taught are valid, they are merely borrowed/stolen from other arts and do not represent some secret art known only to ninjas 400 years ago.

Well, you can't fault their athleticism. (Even if the video is sped up).

This is good though:

To be honest, is there any real differences between it? In the end... whatever you call it, that what Ninja's are meant to be like?

I know movies lie a lot, but everyone has grown up and seen Ninja's in movies doing flips, spinning around and jumping around and throwing stars at people.

I don't know much about any kicking arts or gymnastics but the form of the practitioners in the first clip looks impressive. Personally I wouldn't study something like this as a martial art ( and you definately wouldn't catch me wearing one of those lame ninja masks!) but for fun maybe. I'd certainly love to know how to do some of those acrobatics!

@Missingno. :

Even if they're acting, you have to admit, I'd PAY to learn how to do that. Even if it's not a real martial art - and they aren't trying to sell it off as one - it's too cool to say, well, that it isn't cool. You never know when you need to do a double backflip wushu butterfly spin kick with a triple handless backflip. You NEVER. KNOW.

Yeah there's this thing called gymnastics, where you learn proper tumbling techniques. No hidden costs, no BS "zen buddism/meditation/real bushido" crap that McDojos try to sell, qualified instructors, proper insurance & medical professionals available etc.

Gets you this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNFEm5OLw2A
