Default Question for japanese speakers
Hi
I've been thinking of getting some Japanese Calligraphy to pretty up my room so I immediately thought of one of the founder of aikido's kuden since I have it in Japanese in one of my books. Unfortunately I don't speak or read Japanese so while I think I've pinpointed the right segment of text I'd be rather embarassed to e-mail the calligrapher asking for a partial extract from a section on Irimi technique that makes no sense to frame on my wall. Thus I would appreciate it if anyone who reads Japanese could help me out a bit and check the characters in the link i've included are correct.

It should read something like:

"Brandishing his sword
My enemy in front
Prepares to attack.
But behind him,
I am already standing"

I know this is a Kendo forum but any help would be great. Thanks

Here it is: http://blackbeltcartoons.webs.com/Aikido%20kuden.png

I think you should email the calligrapher for help. I feel certain they'd be happy to help you in any way they can. Go on, don't be shy!
