Maybe you are on elephant juice blackandblue? Where are your replacements for Lee and Blee? I suggest you have a look at the Gains and Losses and do the math! Here is the link for you. Perth finished 3 games ahead of your mob in 2011.

Since when is Football based around two players? In your logic all East Perth needs is two players and it's a guaranteed Finals Campaign.

ROFL about the elephant juice.

Just being realistic B&B, looking at where you are coming from. 6 wins in 2011 and you lose your highest possession winner who averaged 28.8 possessions and 4.1 tackles a game in 2011. I didn't say you would make finals with or without those two players. I have a lot of time for Brendan Lee, he hurt us more than any other player the last 2 years. Looks like your club is on the back foot, now lost Brendan Hancock to Peel along with Pat Travers. Questions have to be asked? Micale will need to call on all his years of experience to make EP a competitive outfit in 2012.

We had a terrible season in 2011, we had off-field problems combined with the stuff that was happening on the park. Yes we have lost two of our better players but that opens the gate for other players to stand up. We won't play the best Football at times this season but I think we will just scrape in in the top four.

Also it's a big season for Micale, anything below 6th place won't please the board.

Could it be possible that some of you long suffering Perth supporters are predicting just a tad high?

We Perth supporters haven't had reason to be this oprimistic for 33 years. I believe that there finally is good justification for optimism this year. Final four is a must and a fair sort of chance that we could go top two IMO.
Claremont should again be the benchmark in a very tight competition in 2012.
As for Peel, I agree that they should be big improvers - not sure about final four but that would not surprise me.

Agree Smokey, probably the first time since Brownie landed at Lathlain have we had reason to get excited. I am comfortable with tipping us to be top 2 or 3 at this stage.

While we're talking about the grand final, does anyone know if their ruckman has woken up yet?

I'm with ogab.

I think it's where you finish after the Qualifying Rounds not after the "bonus" Finals Matches.

Not bad Southener but can't see SD being up there myself. Seems to be a fair bit of turmoil off the field at Bogan Valley and these things tend to flow onto the field.

Based on talent & firepower DD - only hear the discontent whispers with Mr Harding nothing new there.
in any case it'll be a raffle from 2-8th due to the Tiges riches of depth & talent mate!

I hope you're right Southerner but i don't think we're exactly pencilled in for top spot. Lost a few good players, new coach, possible premiership hangover, injuries maybe... alot things can happen. We weren't really the dominant side last year but timed our run perfectly.
