Default WAFL Tips round 18
*** SUBIACO vs SWAN DISTRICTS ***
Can see Subiaco really taking a stranglehold on this game. They have a huge chance to keep hard pressure on East & South Fremantle in the four and winning for them here is a must. Swans have some big outs again with key injuries. Subiaco have turned things around recently. Subi have won 3 of their last 4 games and that loss was a serviceable one to West Perth. They are working hard and the results are showing. There is no doubt there are internal problems at Swans as things start crashing down from the extreme highs of 2010. Now a distant memory.

SUBIACO to win by 33 points

*** PEEL THUNDER vs CLAREMONT ***
This amazingly is a much anticipated game now. The Thunder have one of the real tests and they go in with real confidence. The Thunder have scalped some big teams recently and Claremont are a side who have had some devestating wins over Peel recently. But things have turned around with Peel being the form side of the comp in the last 2 months. The Tigers have some big outs, but equally big in's, whilst Peel have a reletively stable line up with Faulks the only out. Peel should consider themselves a real chance and why shouldnt they. But Claremont are a serious premiership contender and they will need to really crank it up into finals mode now.

CLAREMONT to win by 21 points

*** WEST PERTH vs PERTH ***
Hard to make a case for Perth here though having McDougall and Zucconi back will help. And West Perth lose some flexibility in Bradley as a possible inclusion in the Dockers side. Regardless the Falcons have the structure to take care of Perth and it has been a while since Perth troubled them. Though they can take some hope from a win at Joondalup a few seasons ago. You get the feeling the only thing that could trip the Falcons up here is the Falcons themselves. They have been outstanding in 2011 and will see victory here as a chance to sew up a home final.

WEST PERTH to win by 42 points

*** EAST FREMANTLE vs EAST PERTH ***
Seems a lifetime ago these two sides were battling it out in a great 1st Semi Final at Moss Street. This game has similar consequences also with a loss ending EP's hope and East Freo's hold on 4th would be shaky. The Sharks have a range of AFL players available and on paper they should win this game and win it well. But they have faltered badly recently losing games to Subiaco and Peel on the back of 2 byes. East Perth have battled through a range of problems and secured wins over Peel & Perth. They need a bigger scalp and whether they have the grit to grind one out here is debatable. I have my doubts with one of their few AFL players in Shepheard out this week too. But I will tip with one-eye

EAST PERTH to win by 11 points.

SUBIACO by 25 points - SD are quickly descending into a rabble & could easily win the spoon from here...Subi comfortably

JERK-MONT by 15 points - With this being played @ Bendigo, wouldn’t surprise me to see Peel cause another upset here, but think CL will get over the line

WEST PERTH by 65 points - After last week hard to make any case for Perth...if they can string a full 4 quarters together like their 1st against EP, they could push WP, otherwise it could get very ugly...

EF by 3 points - EF haven’t been in the best of from thats for sure & EP having a good win last week, but having a feeling EF will hit back hard, in a game that will be down to the wire I reckon

Peel to keep their form rolling along at home. I reckon the Foxtel Cup has to take it's toll on Claremont.

EF if they can find the big opening more times than the little ones.

Subiaco have momentum and a lot more to play for so i expect they will get up there.

If Perth can defeat WP at Arena that would be huge. We defeated Claremont at Claremont so it can be done but that performance last week doesn't give me the confidence to tip them. WP by hopefully no more than 4 goals.
