Geez the tigers boys are up & about again this year Bensti... Broome will get his shot at WCE but they no doubt will be cautious about messing with their side whilst they are actually winning some games for a change... This Gilligan at CL has had some wraps too. I will get a look at him on Saturday at Leederville. Blackwell & Browne are flying too. Super strong for the tigers in the midfeild.

As far as crowds go the heat combined with AFL games in Perth starting at 5.40pm are the detriment to the WAFL. This will forever be a problem for the WAFL, that the SANFL simply dont have. Given the survey last year that 36% of AFL members occasionally attend WAFL games would estimate a large portion of them are not able to attend the WAFL on Saturdays, under these circumstances. And the EF v Subi game starting at 1.30pm to allow patrons to get to the Dockers game Saturday night was never going to make a difference. That would make it a long day for a family. With 1,400 attending EF Oval I think that is confirmation that theory is a waste of time. A game or 2 on the occasional Sunday is the way to go when there is no WCE or Freo games on. Simple as that.

Anyway Bensti congrats on Subi's win. Looks like they will be there abouts this year. Could be a big game on the Good Friday between EP and Subi and a 4,000 crowd on the cards too. Though I doubt the wisdom of the game starting at bloody 4.15pm instead of the normal time of 2.15pm....

Yeah unfortunately we just can't go head to head with the Dockers/Eagles.
Sadly, the players don't want to play Sundays, so we are kind of stuck.
It would be great if every club played just 2 Sunday games per year to avoid the clash. That's not too much to ask of the players I don't think.
By all accounts the Friday night game at Fremantle got a good turnout. We'll find out the official figure today I hope. Unfortunately, when the Dockers are playing on the same day as East Fremantle, its always going to be a tiny crowd. It's pretty sad to see the crowds EF get now, apart from the Derbies. I'd say less 2000 plus attendances than any other club apart from Peel.
Yeah, we are still competitive. We will at least give everyone a run for their money.
I'm really hoping for a few more than 4000 at the good friday game actually. I think its going to be a great success. EP v S games are always close and willing these days. I reckon a lot of neutrals will turn out for it too.
What are the odds for Claremont going through the season undefeated in all 3 grades? They are a chance.

I agree its a small sacrifice over an entire season.

What gets me furious Bensti is things like in round 10 this year... East Perth will play Perth on the Sunday - directly opposed to the Eagles v Western Bulldogs game at friggin Subiaco Oval !! This is when they "SHOULD" be playing on the Saturday not the Sunday.

Does anyone look at the AFL fixtures when they plan these things. It is bordering on the insane with what they do to the WAFL fixturing. We may as well smash our heads against a brick wall its so frustrating....

I hope EP use some brains & change it back to the Saturday arvo....common sense boy's please.

mate, wouldn't mind hearing an interview with Kyle Hams. Now that would be interesting. Tough questions needed.

Great stuff you guys. You're doing a great job there.

Please ask him why he betrayed Souths for money. I'm not a Souths supporter but I still feel bitter about this. Also, I really think someone needs to ask Swans about the salary cap.

SFFC4ever I seem to remember you calling me names on footygoss when I started getting into Josh Smith about his last minute decision to move to EP. And now you are complaining about Kyle Hams doing pretty much the same thing. Could you possibly be more of a hypocrite?

Show the proof Robbo...unlike yourself, I dont resort to 'calling people names' on footygoss...

In any case, both Smith & Hams reek of manure & are slime balls of the highest order...

I've been banned from FG mate. But I remember the name of the thread you had a go at me in when I got stuck into Josh Smith. The name of the thread I made was "Josh Smith you're a disgrace" and it was in the WP section of the forum. Why don't you go back and have a look at that thread before you do anymore bitching about Kyle Hams.

And why don't you copy and paste a few of your quotes from your first few posts in that thread so people here can see what a hypocrite you are being.

Footballers since the begining of time have been involved in moving to other clubs... Its nothing new.

Ron Barrassi, Polly Farmer, Tony Lockett and of course the great Daniel Metropolis (joke).

Everyone gets all riled but I wouldnt slit my wrists over it.

Don't know about that slab. Swans have probably had the 3 toughest games first up against 3 sides likely to feature in the finals and I still think SD will be one of the sides in the four. You've had EP, CL and WP and only Claremont has really managed to put you away and they will do that to most teams this year like they did last year. Wait til you start playing the other 5 sides and you will soon get your fair share of wins and once you run into form you will be able to give the other top sides a good run for their money too.
