Default Peel,Brock O'Brien and Under the table salary?????
If proven to be the case Peel should be in a whole lot of trouble and have the book thrown at them.

Perth fined 20k for a clerical stuff up.Proven that no extra money changed hands(Bossong).
Salary cap rorting is far more serious than that,i reckon minimum 50k fine plus no participation in next seasons reverse draft if this case is proven!

These allegations have apparentley come from O'Brien himself,2 salaries one above board the other under the table.
It has to do with the 30k transfer fee they are demanding from E.F,dont transfer me and i spill me guts type thing.
This could get nasty.

Was that what Hardie and Langdon were going on about the other day? I only heard the end of it. Well this is Peel so they'll get special treatment.

Yep it was and Hardie reckons if true they should get the book thrown at them and so they should.

If they dont the other clubs and supporters should make a lot of noise,Peel have been given every chance to hold there own in this comp by the commission and as far as i am concerned have fallen well short, there inception was a huge mistake and a mistake that our club can take a portion of the blame in!

New stadium blah blah blah the commission will look the other way on this one.

I don't think they would be the first to have done this sort of thing.Maybe a lot of clubs are now working the shredder over time in the dim dark rooms of some footy clubs.
You are probably right and Peel would have gotten away with it(if reports are correct and i reckon they are)had they not been dobbed in by the player/his manager?? concerned.

This has been known about for some time. The question that needs to be asked is what is the WAFC doing about it - their lovechild caught flagrantly breaching the salary cap.

Why would the WAFC care? Any fine they impose is only their money coming back to them anyway.

Maybe they can pay back the $10K they extorted from the PFC for no breach of the salary cap while they are at it.

Yes, the info came direct from the player himself - two contracts, one submitted to the WAFC, one under the table.

Why would the WAFC care? Any fine they impose is only their money coming back to them anyway.

Maybe they can pay back the $10K they extorted from the PFC for no breach of the salary cap while they are at it.
And after that they basically said, let this be a warning to all WAFL clubs, any future breaches will carry similar penalties. I'm sure many a WAFL supporter will be watching this space. The WAFC have made their bed they way they dealt with Perth (and the tough talk that went with it) and with the money that has been committed to Peel they might have backed themselves into a corner on this one.
