On Friday the 25th of June 2010 Phase Two of the invasion of Leonora began. On Friday 30 more invaders were added to the 83 already at the Leonora Detention Centre and it is expected that another 30 will be joining them on Sunday night.

I only found out about their imminent arrival after reading a few reports online, I guess that the Immigration Department kept it quiet to keep any protesters away, needless to say yours truly was there.

This contains a media report at the start and a bird's eye view of proceedings afterwards.

Gillard urged to act on asylum seekers

A protest in Sydney has called on the Federal Government to act more fairly and justly in dealing with asylum seekers.

Around 150 people rallied at Sydney's Town Hall today to urge Prime Minister Julia Gillard to close Christmas Island and end mandatory detention of refugees.

Author Thomas Keneally told the protest that a bipartisan approach needs to be reached by the country's leaders.

"I ask all politicians of goodwill on both sides of the house to commit themselves to this cause," he said.

"Open our gates to a reasonable degree and advance Australia not with hysteria, not with a snarl, but with fraternity."

Greens Senator Sarah Hanson-Young told the rally that Ms Gillard's first priority should be to lift the suspensions on asylum applications.

"We know that the suspensions on Sri Lankans ends in two weeks," she said.

"Will the Prime Minister extend them or lift them all for everybody? It's a harmful policy, it's hurting vulnerable people, and Julia Gillard, as the new Prime Minister, really needs to step up and show that she wants to see a compassionate approach as the main approach and a long-term, practical approach to asylum seekers and refugees."

Senator Hanson-Young said Ms Gillard needs to put justice on the agenda to ensure refugees are treated with compassion and fairness.

She promised to present a petition at the next meeting of parliament, calling for a change to asylum seeker policy.

John Dowd, from the International Commission of Jurists, told the rally that detention centres are jails and it is not lawful to hold people in them.

"These people are being denied the right to process and they're being held in a prison," he said.

Thanks for the negativity, I know exactly what you mean though. We are shot ducks and it has been the plan from day one to demonise White patriots to such an extent that the sheeple find us repulsive. I never thought that this town would end up being full of sheep and red swill willing to sell their own mothers for a dollar. I am headbutting a brickwall in Leonora since nobody wants to be a part of the evil that is me. I've been called a member of the klan and even more stupidly an ex-member of the ANM even though at the time when they were at their height I was living on the other side of the country. So be it, however maybe just one person might wake up. In the meantime I believe that we've got to get together and fight the evil that opposes us together instead of singularly on our lone wolf campaigns which will never get us anywhere but in gaol.

Sorry to hear that trouble. just kepp doing what your doing. I think we all go through periods of being public enemy number 1. The good news is, with those refos there, your title will be passed to someone more deserving.

I got some good footage of tonight's phase of the invasion, it is dark and hard to make out what is going on a bit of the time but you can hear the bastards cheering as they get off the five buses that came out to pick them up. I've got a fair bit of editing to do since it took 18 minutes for the bastards to get off the buses so I'd expect the final product to be out at the latest this afternoon. It has been a long cold night and I need some sleep otherwise I'd get it out before sunrise.
