If the councillors thought that the people of Leonora were going to put up with the invasion of their town by queue jumping illegals they were sadly mistaken. The opposition to the occupation of the town by people who have no right to be in the country in the first place has only just begun. I am certain that in the coming days and weeks the councillors will be made fully aware of how unpopular their decision to sell out the town for their own financial benefit is.

There is a common root to ALL of these issues - the people who place selfish profit motives AHEAD of decency.
If the global corporations weren't meddling in the refugees' countries in the first place, the people there may have had a chance to evolve their own self-sustaining civilisation. These people are running from something hard, only to find themselves facing different challenges. When will people learn that we ALL need to unite and fight the ROOT of the problem? We CANNOT think we can stem the ever-increasing flow of 'non-homogenous immigration', removal of our property rights, freedom to be self-sufficient, freedom of speech, freedom of association etc etc until we TAKE AWAY THE POWER SOURCE OF OUR COMMON ENEMY. You lot over there need to form some sort of co-op to source your supplies elsewhere and boycott ALL supporters of the government and powerful, wealthy people. You're probably, ironically, small enough to do this!!! The refugees need to be educated that this is not the land of milk and honey - people who are real Australians are doing it tough here and if the refugees get a helping hand it is a superficial and temporary respite from reality. The truth is that they will face the wrath of pissed off locals and for highly justified reasons. They are going to be deluded into believing that those of us opposed to them being here are opposed simply because we're born 'racist' or something. They need to be made to understand that the problems they faced in their own country were the same problems we're facing here, and who the common root of the problem is. They really should be encouraged to return home, refuse to take the apparently easy path out of a bind, and face the problem on their own turf instead of coming here and making OUR fight even harder! |
