I've mentioned tariffs before in the audio broadcasts Made in China, The Cost of Living and Economic Solutions. I don't feel the need to talk about it again but if enough people want me to I'll give it another go. Thanks to all of you that like the new format of the show.

I reckon that they should have a supermarket chain that only sells Australian Made goods. It would make it a whole lot easier for people to buy Australian and would probably become incredably popular and you could have one in every major city.

We already have the Australian Made logo which is a good starting point now we need to have a supermarket that only sells 100% australian food and goods.

Of course people will always try to get the best deals they can especially if money is tight and compteting with the cheaper prices would be extrememly difficult but if people could go to a place that was easily accessable that they trusted to always sell australian made and owned products then people may pay more to help out the homegrown industry.

It would be a hell of alot easier if the government would tax the goods coming in so as not to destroy our farmers and industries but I doubt that will happen.

Does anyone think it would be possible to set up stores that only sold Australian made stuff?
