Default Australia Calling: Australia 'buggered', says Access Economics
AUSTRALIA 'BUGGERED'
AUSTRALIA CALLING
(01/21/09) Australia's most respected economic consultancy, Access Economics, has released its quarterly report on the national economy. The normally reserved and polite accountants said that Australia's economy and federal budget were 'buggered'. Also, Muslims threaten to murder Brisbane talkback radio host. The religion of peace strikes again!

Sensei, you had to bring up, you must be proficient in some form of martial art. Actually you haven't said that for a while now and I thought that maybe there was something wrong with you.

This week the economic news became even worse. Thousands of workers sacked and businesses closing.
I had an interesting conversation yesterday with a woman whose husband drives a delivery truck for a potato chip maker.
She said that deliveries to supermarkets were down by 50 per cent and deliveries to other retailers were not far behind.
The big retailers had indicated that they may reduce their stock orders further, due to declining sales.
I wonder what is happening to turnover in other businesses?
To gather this information we will have to rely on anecdotal evidence, because we can be certain that the government will lie to us.
