Update: Mutombo indicated on Wednesday that he "will probably sign" with Houston and play the full season, the Houston Chronicle reports.

Recommendation: There was an earlier report suggesting Mutombo would play just half the season for the Rockets, but the veteran dismissed that notion. "I will probably play one more year," Mutombo said. "Not half or part of a year. If I sign, I will be there on Oct. 1." Mutombo played well last season while filling in when Yao Ming lost 33 games to a broken leg. Currently, the Rockets' only backup at center is Jackie Butler.
