In my opinion lebron getting swept in the finals shows that them getting there in the first place was a fluke. I dont think the bulls or pistons would of went out that easily. But we will never know. One thing about the Boston trio, and I'm stealing this from an article, is that they each mask the others weaknesses. They could be an amazing meshing. That said, they probably don't have enough juice to beat out the Suns, Spurs, Mavs, or Rockets. |

Iverson's Sixers and the Kidd Nets are other examples of team's with 1 or 2 superstars able to make it out of the East with mediocre supporting casts. The Pistons have been the only team with a solid starting 5 in a while. |

I hope the Pistons don't sign him. I think Stuckey will be better than Knight this season (and obviously in future seasons as well). I think Knight has always been in the top five players in the league in steals for as long as I can remember. |

knight would be a good pick up I think it'd be good if they could pick up a Posey or Patterson on the cheap. |

Barring injuries, the Celtics will at least make the Conference Semis this year. Name a TEAM (notice the emphasis) that has as much talent throughout in the East as they do. The Heat? Beyond Wade and Shaq, they sport an old/thin bench and have the likes of Jayson Williams and Smush Parker running the point (I guess they went for all flash, no substance?). The Pistons? They proved that they can be dismantled by overwhelming talent ala Lebron, so who's to say a team with 3 perennial all stars can't do the same (not to mention that Garnett is one of the few players in the NBA whose games are as complete as Lebron's, oh and so is Pierce's...and Ray Ray gives them a very legitimate shooter). The Cavs? Lebron will take them far, of course, but they simply do not have the offensive firepower to match the Celtics now. They're at an athletic disadvantage in almost every position on the court sans-Lebron, and Garnett will definitely help stabilize the rebounding for the Celtics. As much as I hate to say it (die-hard Sixers/Suns fan), the Celtics are one of the top 3 teams to beat in the East now. Defense goes a long way, but not even the Pistons have the defense to matchup with Boston's big 3 now.
