No shit. That makes no sense to me at all. Letting Amare go to get an older version of Amare? I have no idea why they would want to break up that team unless it is to get rid of Marion who may very well be gone after next season anyway. |

Timberwolves talking three-way Garnett deal
tBy Adrian Wojnarowski, Yahoo! Sports June 27, 2007 ![]() ![]() Atlanta would move the Nos. 3 and 11 picks in Thursday's draft, as well as Zaza Pachulia and Anthony Johnson, to Minnesota to the Timberwolves. Minnesota owner Glen Taylor has delivered a mandate to his basketball executives to get a deal done, one league executive said. Yahoo! Sports has learned that the trade would also save the Hawks from an emerging showdown between the front office and coaching staff over whom to draft with the third pick. The front office and coaching staff had settled on Florida power forward Al Horford, but a faction of the Atlanta Spirit ownership group, with business interests in China, is pushing them to take Yi Jianlian. if |

Because the older version is one of the best defenders in the game and will still give you the same offensive output. I don't think age really matters to the Suns at this point. They have probably two or three years before Nash starts to decline, so they might as well go for it. |

This would be really dumb on the Suns behalf. The only logic I can see in making such a move is that they aren't fully comfortable with the playing time Amare got when he came back from injury. Maybe there is some lingering doubts with the Suns about his full recovery, even though he played spectacular last season...
