Interesting...would I be wrong in saying that the Pacers came out pretty good with this deal?

I gotta believe that Golden State got the better of this deal.

Although Diogu might blossom in the Pacers system.

I liked him a lot at ASU. What's with Dunleavy? I thought he'd be a pretty good baller in the pros. It seems that you don't hear much about him anymore.

I'd say GS won this trade pretty handily

Being a GS fan i hate the deal... Dunleavy and Murphy were going to get dealt it wsa Known. I would liked to see it for someone else as I hate Jackson. Hes a cancer and overrated ontop of being an Ass. I don't like him as a player/person. Diogu i think could be a good player in the league for years to come. Dunleavy is inconsistent and Murphy is a tweener. I do like Harrington...

Dunleavy is way to inconsistent and Murphy is a tweener. I would rather have seen them trade Murph and Dunleavy for someone else. I like Harrington...
So how do you hate the trade. You gave away 3 players that aren't any good in your opinion and one player thats not good now but has potential.

And you get Al Harrington and even if you don't like him Jackson. I'd say you walked away in pretty good shape

I edited my post for a bit more clarification... Murphy holds value as does Dunleavy on the trade market id rather see them go elsewhere. Diogu has a ton of upside, and Dunleavy has shown flashes. Murphy is a tweener but will get you 16 and 10 which isn't too bad. He just wasn't the big man/presence the Warriors needed.

Try it this way instead:

Davis
Ellis
Barnes
Harrington
Biedrens

At least until after the All Star break, at which point Richardson would replace Barnes.

I would agree with you. Harrington would be an upgrade at PF, especially with the emergence of Biedrins at C, but I would want nothing to do with Jackson and you got two fillers to one. If Dunleavy for Maggette is also something in the future I like it even more for the Pacers. Murphy should be able to get a big man up top and give O'Neal some more space down low to work with.

Yea I knew he was injured. I was just putting him in there.

So you think Jackson comes off the bench?

No love for Sarunas?

I can't see Maggette/Dunleavy going down.

I'm pretty sure Dunleavy can't be traded again this season(Due to the closeness of the trade deadline) and Clippers brass(Mike Sr. not included) weren't all that enamored with that particular deal.

Can't say I'm a big fan of Sarunas. I think Warriors liked this deal because it saves them some money and length on the deals of Jackson and Harrington over Dunleavy and Murphy. Not to mention Murphy was a better fit at Center in Nelly's offense, but with the way Andres played in his absence no reason to stunt the young mans growth. I guess that's why they had to give Ike up in the deal.

If it's a one for one deal I don't think it would matter.

I thought Sr. is the one that wanted it? (nevermind misread your quote)

Why wouldn't he? The only reason he was still starting for the Pacers was because Daniels has showed very little. I guess this will also give him more of an opportunity now as well.

Yea I guess youre right. I was thinking maybe he could play the 3? I didn't think the warriors had anyone really solid at that spot

Barnes has been playing fantastic the last month or so. After bouncing around between a bunch of teams, looks like he may have found one to stick with.

Decent trade for both teams. If Indiana is smart they spin off Dunleavy for Maggette to get rid of Dunleavy's awful contract.

This move helps GS because they get players that better fit their system in Harrington/Jackson and have less years of bad contracts to pay. They are creating a big problem though when JRich comes back since he along with Ellis and Jackson all play the same spot.

This move helps Indiana as well since gets a good young physical big (Diogu) and someone like Murphy who could offset the scoring lost with Harrington. They could also have a pretty deep bench with Graham/Dunleavy, Murphy and Diogu at the F/C spots although this move creates an even bigger hole at the guard spots for them.
