Why did they even bring it back is the question.
1st. Because of Shaq.

2nd. Because of gaurds nobody could cover one-on-one.

Default NBA considering eliminating 3 point shot!
according to the Arizona republic there is discussion concerning having the 3 only during the last 5 minutes of a game in order to help lead to better passing and midrange shooting.

In other news, the NBA will have an angry grizzly bear on the court at any time a team gets ahead by 20 points. The bear will not count against the cap.

Here's a thought. How about the NBA works on getting a minor league and encourages youth programs that teach fundamentals to AAU kids. Maybe we can get coaches like Larry Brown that teach their teams instead of babysit them. Maybe Rip Hamilton and Kirk Heinrich can start the all-star game instead of Vince Carter.

How about we bring back an old rule...

You can't move at all when the ball is in your hands. That would really make things interesting,
Heh heh, how bout a rule not so old. How bout you can't move with the ball without dribbiling? No more going easy on stars.

I'm sure KG couldn't find some other time before or after the olympics to get hitched. A lot of players made excuses and it made me sick. Just part of the problem with the NBA right now.
Who cares if a star didn't want to go....we should just send the national champions over to Athens (of the NCAA) and be done with it

It would actually be done to improve the shooting ability in the NBA, thus making us more of a threat in International play.
Or we could just take the right players to the olympics (the guys who can already shoot)..but that is another discussion....

Great to hear the NBA wants to adapt rules from "MTV Rock 'n Jock". They want to change a rule then they should get rid of the lame ass zone defense.

There wouldn't have been a competition if KG, Shaq, Kobe, Kidd, McGrady, etc... had decided to play.

Personally, I think we should have just taken the Duke team once all the NBA players dropped out. They had shooters and had been playing together.

That would ruin part of the game. Let's only have the three point shot count for the last five minutes of the game, that is just crazy. The NBA should not even be discussing that.

Why don't we raise the basket from 10 ft to 11ft. This will promote taking more jump shots. Sometimes the NBA just needs to leave things alone.

Not to mention we just finished talking about making our game more like the international version, which was based on passing and hitting the 3. Yeah, lets work more on getting the ball to big men so they can foul out even earlier.

Actually.... KG Shaq, Kobe, Kidd... ETC wouldn't have been needed.... Shaq will never go, he can barely play 60 games in a season...you honestly think he can do the olympics too???

KG had a wedding....

But, Take a couple superstars, Duncan and a point guard....

The fill the rest with role players, great shooters, defensive replacements, and a couple players for the "future" of the squad...(lebron and melo)

They're talking about making the changes to the 3-point rule in the NBA Developmental League only at this point. The NBA said they are not planning anything with it right now.
