This team will be beat again because the players haven't a clue as to how to play defense.

Whatever is said about Iverson is his own fault. He is and always will be a thug from the streets. His money has kept him out of trouble in the past. As it will in the future. He is one of the many reasons I refuse to watch the NBA. I was a big fan a long time ago. Back when it was a team game. Give me college hoops anytime.
The Olympics should be for college players or a HS kid, not the proffessional jerks.

Iverson is given too hard of a time IMO. Granted, he may make stupid comments about practice and doesn't like showing up to them, but he is one of the most entertaining players in the game and easily one of the 5 hardest competitors. When he is in a game he doesn't take one second off on both sides of the floor. I'd much rather watch that than see a slacker who shows up for practice.

This team has absolutely no chemistry. You can have all of the talent in the world (which we basically do have), but they all refuse to play as a team but as individuals out there. You would think that they have proved enough in the NBA, but they are playing against other countries like they have something to prove.

You would be wrong to lump the whole NBA into that category though. There are many fine players who still believe in playing the game through the team. For instance, my favorite team, the Timberwolves, is loaded with some of the most unselfish players in the league. This is including Kevin Garnett, who I truly feel is the greatest player of this time and when he is done will be considered one of the greatest ever.

I also can't stand watching the Shaq's and Kobe's in the NBA but you have to remember that there are also Duncan's and Garnett's there too.

I'm still not too sure how they're going to do in the tourney. One big problem they have is that they don't have the pure shooters like Ray Allen or Wally Szerbiak that you need when playing overseas. On the other hand, they are far more athletic than every other team and may just need time to gel.

With Iverson the Captain of this team. Who needs pratice. Whats a meeting. I hope they get their butts kicked. We may see more individual play than team play.
With that said, I didn't want to watch Judo, but if it coincides with this BB team. Judo it will be.
