The Suns have acquired Jason Richardson and Jared Dudley from the Bobcats in exchange for Boris Diaw, Raja Bell, and Sean Singletary, according to ESPN Sports Center.

The trade call was completed at about 3:45 p.m. Phoenix time today, according to the Arizona Republic.

"He's athletic and gives us a really potent offensive player," Suns' General Manager Steve Kerr said. "He's also an excellent defensive players. and he's in his prime. He's a very high-character guy and well-regarded around the league for his professionalism."

It's evident that Bell, like Nash, aren't playing well in Porter's system, as opposed to D'Antoni's where they flourished. I doubt Richardson is a solution to their problems though.

Well, I hope Richardson plays good D, cause we just lost 2 of our BEST defenders. Hmm.

In all fairness, the Suns never were a strong defensive team. To add another scorer was very needed, because you wouldn't get it out of Diaw or Bell, despite how good they are defensively.

The name of the game in basketball is to score more points than the other team, hope it works.

Why is everyone not saying much about Singletary..he was a good player. Will be a good player in the NBA sooner or later.

I haven't seen much of him, to be honest. He might be a good fit for the Bobcats.

J-rich will bring excitement to the Suns.
I think that he'll make the team ALOT better.
Especially if he returns to his Golden State era self.

I've always found Boris Diaw to be an exceptional player, but is incredibly inconsistent.

And Raja Bell is one of the best defenders in the league, but I think that J-Rich will benefit the team alot more, and play well with Steve Nash at the helm.

Another good trade for both teams.
