Story:




Set in Haryana, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya traces the journey of Veren (Reteish Deshmukh) and Mini (Genelia Deshmukh) who are destined to be together. Though, poles-apart in nature, what binds them is the common ideology of making it big on their own. While, Veren is a rickshaw driver who aims to begin his travel agency, Mini is looking for an ambitious man as her life partner. Hell breaks loose for Viren when he discovers his savings going in vain because of Mini’s father Bhatti (Tinu Anand). So, in the midst of begging for justice, he happens to accidently fall prey to Mini’s plans of kidnapping herself. What follows next is an interesting edge of the seat drama.



Story Treatment:

Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, from the word go, is extremely hilarious and continues to tickle your bone till the end. It strikes the right chords with simple yet tasteful humour which puts it in the different league altogether. Desi romance works for this flick and much credit goes to the lead stars Reteish-Genelia who indisputably set the screen on fire with excellent comic-timing. There is a flip side too as overtly dragged screenplay, where story refuses to come to the point, leaves one in despair.

Star Cast:

It might sound an exaggeration but Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya rests Genelia’s shoulders. This, by far, is her finest performance. Reteish, too, is no less and is at his natural best. Om Puri and Tinu Anand play their part well. Smita Jaykar has small but pivotal role. Veena Malik looks extremely uncomfortable as an item girl and intervention of Genelia in the middle further ruins her act.



Direction:

Director has articulately tapped the real-life chemistry of cute couple which translates superbly on-screen. It is a delight to watch how marvellously the couple realises their love for each other. Mandeep has beautifully created the situations which finally lead them to love. One should watch the way the director effortlessly starts giving lessons on every topic under the sun with a tinge of glee in it. But again, such moments when repeated again and again become an over doze which kill the magic.

Music/ Dialogues/ Cinematography/Editing:



Music doesn’t register at all. Sachin and Jigar fail to create the magic with no melody in songs. Dialogues complement the flavour of the story. Cinematography doesn’t ring a bell thus, strictly average. Non-crispy editing proves dangerous for the film which is too long.

3ups and downs:

Direction, sparkling chemistry between Reteish-Genelia and dialogues put the film in the comfortable safe zone. Music, poor screenplay and editing are the weak points.



Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya lives up to the hype due to its release immediately after Reteish-Genelia’s wedding which makes it worth a shot.
