Default Randammoozham - the movie? MT Vasudevan Nair-Hariharan. Speculate.
In the spirit of speculating about officially unannounced movies - which is what the richer cousin of this Indian Films forum thrives and flourishes on - let's speculate about the proposed on-screen adaptation of Randammoozham, MTV's masterpiece take on Mahabharat from Bheema's POV interspersed with the undercurrents of Keralite matriarchal traditions and societal mores.
Here's the link to the source of speculation

I just had a peek at the first few pages of the translation; impressive.

"My mother often told me I was slow, stupid. So did elder brother Yudhishtira. The difference was that mother always had a teasing, fond note in her voice when she called me those names, but my brother’s comments seemed to be laced with impatience, contempt even. And each time he called me those names, I felt the anger bubble up inside of me."
The perspective already seems intresting - naivety/childish charm in a way; deeper, emotional undercurrents in another.

From the flim perspective, I'm not sure what to expect. I haven't seen the much-praised Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha. Pazhassi Raja was a let down, to me; terrible, immature filming. Let's see what's served this time around. MD talks aarannu? Raaja saar thanne? Budapest thanne?

On an aside, have there been any attempts at filming any of OV Vijayan's works? I know one or two short films but haven't heard of a feature film yet. Quite a dare that would be to any filmmaker!

There was news that ARR will be the composer for the movie. However Hariharan has dismissed all these rumours, and stated that the cast/technicians are not yet finalised. Infact as this is a multilingual movie, IR possibility cannot be ruled out, considering that PR was a huge success and the scope for BGM in this kind of movie is significant.
