If this movie is ever made the central characters will be Krishna and Arjuna.

Hrithik Roshan - Arjun (Handsome and masculine)
Abhishek Bhachan - Krishna (Handsome, masculine, cunning and a decent flirt)

Amitabh Bachchan - Bheeshma
------------------------
Now Yudhister and Duryodan are of almost same age. Again Duryodan is stronger and a real challenge in Gadhayude to Bheema. Karna is by far the eldest.

Yudhister - Kamal (Mature, truthfull, commanding power over the whole pandavas)
Bheema - Sunny deol (Solid, emotional, not very mature)
Duryodan - Chiranjeevi (Solid, can verbally take Kamal and physically Sunny deol)
Karna - Mohanlal (A very controled character, one who never show the emotional burning of having to fight his own younger brothers. sacrifices Bullet proof as requested by mother Kunti inspite of having been orphaned by her in her youth)

Now nakul and Sahadev are the youngest both pandavas but lesser qualities than the three elders

Nakul - Vivek oberoi
Sahadev - Madhavan

Dronacharya and his son Ashwathama. Now Drona's standing is equalent to Bheeshma. The guru of all pandavas and kauravas. Drona and Bheeshma are the only two who could have won the war for Kauravas had they put full heart to it. Ashwathama is as young as the Pandavas and kauravas.

Drona - Rajani (Who else in Indian movie industry can stand equalant to BigB)
Ashwathama - Ajay Devgan (He is the one who kills all five sons of pandavas after war, he is the one who uses Bhahmasthra and kills Abhimanu's son in Uthara's womb, Almost as skilled as Arjuna, a good person at heart, made to do bad things by circumstances)

"Karna", Kunti's eldest son a matured character it will be perfect role for lalettan he can do any role he has proved it many time.Duryodhana is the eldest son of Queen Gandhari eldest of the Kaurava it should be kamal hassan !

If at all Mani is doing such a film, the best he can get is all Khans, Bachaans, roshans and etc., and yeah all glamour dolls of Bolly .....

If there is such a movie trilogy to be done all i can guess is that they want to do it like lord of the rings and knowing maniratnam he will get inspired by lord of the rings. Dunt be surprised if you see the ogres of lord of the rings make a return as the asuras in mahabaratham.

Seriously such a star cast will create problems in the casting arena with their fan base and all while hollywood just focusses on the script with no lookover in the image whatsoever. Lets see what mani does if such a movie comes.

Starcast: Sridevi,Amitabh Bachan,kamal Hasan, shahrukh khan...these seem to be gud choices for the characters mentioned

Would like to suggest Rajinikanth to play the role of "VIDHUR" who is one of the most important character in Mahabarath

for this project.

Mahabharata Trilogy ... I don't if this is true or not...but if it is true ..it can be made in the level of Lor od the rings...
the whole Indian flum industry can combine their best talents to make the movie.... fro Malaylam to Bollywood.....

From tamil i would say: Surya....Ajith....Kaml....Rajini ....some of the old actors like "Nabier" .... can be considered for some strong roles...but this happening is like
1 in a million ....
