Ace director Bala is now in pre-production work of his new film.

The film tentatively titled Eriyum Thanal will have the comparatively new Atharva, son of late actor Murali as the hero.

Bala who usually pens his own scripts has been inspired to make this film based on a Malayalam novel. The story, according to reports, is based on a family and the turmoil they undergo due to a freaked out son amongst them. Atharva will play the vexed son.

This would also be the first time that Bala is spinning a story around a family. The national award winning director is at the moment busy with the pre-production works concerned with this film, the shooting for which is touted to begin during December. There are also reports doing rounds that the director is on the look out for characters who would get to play Atharvaa's parents in the film.

Its my personal opinion that NK didn't brought best/most out of ARYA (spend years with bear & slimming, Skin tone changing), as movie focused more on disabled people.
More over to demolish a begger leader, i don't think a person to come from KASI all the way, for that it’s enough to have local RAMARAAJAN

read somewhere that murali was bala's first choice to play the chithan character in pihamagan. but for some unknown reasons it did not happen.

he promised murali that he would give him a role in future - maybe thats why adarva got the role.

IMO, NK padathule Arya've (I mean his character) thevai illeng

That aghori stunt from Bala stood out like a sore thumb w/o any contribution to the movie. :sigh: It looked like Bala used him as an excuse to "pOttuthallufy" thandavan in the end, ambuthuthen...

In fact, when I watched NK, I felt like - "documentary ellam nalla thein irukku, anna idhellam ippo en enga kitta solreenga"? (as in what's the point kinda feeling).

To me, Slumdock touching a bit on the same underlying subject as NK was better both in terms of screen-play intellisense and entertainment.

Vikram kooda fight karanama Murali was booked and then samathanam aachu kelvi pattaen,

appadiye pithamagan la murali ya pottirunthaalum Surya role ku than pottiruppanga ninaikkaren, Surya would have turned Chiththan in that case..... of course ithu imo... bala's pov epadi irunthirukkumo......... murali as chiththan !!!
