Sivaji / Kamal fans should not complain and should agree that this is not a new trend. While we complain about the re-use of uththama puththiran, we forget that there was one before Sivaji's. Kamal reused MGR's first film's title (sathi leelAvathi could have been a listless movie but the title had some special status thanks to being the first one of MGR and a different name wouldn't have done any bad to the BM-Kamal film).

So, there'll be nAyakans, UPs, deiva magan's reused over and over - some may be rank bad but there could be better ones down the decades, who knows?

Thankfully, for us, all our movie names that have been used so far have either become flops or average hits, and surely not to the extent where the newer ones have superceded the classic ones!

So even though it's so ruining when the newer movie releases, in the long run, the classic will be remembered to the name.
