‘Venghai’ on floors

Hari is back after a small break. The ‘Singam’ director will start shooting his next project ‘Venghai’ from today, a fim which will bring him together for the first time with Dhanush.

Produced by B Bharathi Reddy on behalf of the famed Vijaya Productions, the film will have Tamannah as heroine. Remember the same production house made Dhanush’s ‘Padikadhavan’ last year with the same Tamannah as female lead.

And interestingly, it was Bharathi Reddy who also produced ‘Thamirabharani’, one of the earlier films of Hari. “These factors have raised expecations on the movie,” sources close to the director say.

Devi Sri Prasad, who composed chartbusters for ‘Singam’, will score music for ‘Venghai’ too. Rajkiran, Kalabhavan Mani and Ganja Karuppu will play important roles. Cinematography is by Vetri and editing by V T Vijayan.

Differences Between 'Singam' and ‘Vengai’

Suriya’s ‘Singam’ haps to be one of the most defining successes of Hari’s directorial venture. Now the filmmaker has started shooting for his next film ‘Vengai’ starring Dhanush and Thamannah in lead role.

First and foremost, Hari assures of using more ‘Aruvas’ in this film as the script demands for it. ‘Singam didn’t have such weapons as there wasn’t any need for it, but Vengai is set in different backdrops’ says director.

The film starts rolling today and major portions will be shot in both village and cityscapes. The basic plot of film is that it matters a lots of difference when justice is taken into hands by an ordinary person and that off a police officer.

It looks like there are more interesting sequences between Dhanush and Raj Kiran. Tamanah for the first time will appear in the countryside costumes, predominantly with half-saris. Ganja Karuppu plays an important role.

Devi Sri Prasad is scoring music for the film. For the first time, Priyan will not be a part of Priyan’s film as he is occupied with other project. Instead, Hari has signed Vetri for handling cinematography.
