Thanks NOV
Pls help popularize 'Nanju Puram' - A plea from the Nanju Puram team ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi friends, Lets make the world take note of "Nanju Puram"... This is an 'indie film' (independent film) in the true sense of the word -- made by a group of friends, on a shoe-string budget -- with the only aim of showcasing their talent and work to the world. The hope here is that this will get them more opportunities in the film industry. This is a team which has no connections in the film industry, no Godfathers, no star connections, no star-sons -- a complete bunch of outsiders who eat, sleep, breathe, dream and live for movies! This film was made with donations ranging from Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 20 lakhs, from a group of 30 people -- family and friends. These 30 people and many other well-wishers of the "Nanju Puram" team -- gave their money, time and emotional support to the team during all their ups and downs. Today, this movie has been taken up for distribution by a big production house -- "Rama Narayanan's Sri Thenandal Films" -- which has an impressive track record of producing more than a 100 films in the last 35 years!!! This, in itself, indicates that "Nanju Puram" is a 'quality film' with 'something different'! You may have seen the work of several people involved in this project at various capacities in the film and tv world. Raaghav (hero and music director of Nanju Puram) has literally worked his way up slowly in the media world from very humble beginnings. From being an anchor, to composing ad jingles and soundtracks for serials, acting in tv serials and commercials, composing music for a movie, dubbing for radio ads, acting in short films, being in dance reality shows to doing supporting roles in movies like Endhiran, Silambattam, Saththam Podathey -- he's done it all! Preetha, the producer and Raaghav's wife, for her share has also acted in movies, tv serials, sung for ad jingles, anchored tv shows, and danced in reality shows with Raaghav. Charles, the director of the film, a film institute graduate, has directed tv shows such as "Kaathu Karuppu", "En thozhi, en kaadhali, en manaivi", "Roja Kootam". Antony, the cameraman of the film, has worked with Charles on several of his tv shows. Nanju Puram is releasing on the 1st of April, 2011! The team of Nanju Puram really needs your help in getting the word out about the movie. Having no BIG STARS or FAMOUS TECHNICIANS, the success of this movie depends heavily on word of mouth publicity. If you've liked the work of this team in the past, if you'd like this team to get a fair chance in the Film Industry, if you're some one who believes that hardwork pays -- pls support us by getting the word out about our film! All we are asking for is an opportunity to be noticed -- give this small movie a 'fair chance'! What can you do to help us? 1. Share this note 2. join www.facebook.com/NanjuPuram 3. Listen to the music of NanjuPuram -- review it, discuss it, share it, get others to listen 4. If you like any song in particular -- set it as your HelloTune/CallerTune... Call ur mobile operator and request for "NANJUPURAM" movie with the name of the song you like... So, people calling you would get a chance to listen to the music 5. Request for Nanju Puram songs in FM and TV call-in shows 6. Watch the song videos of Nanju Puram -- review, discuss, share, get others to watch 7. Once the movie releases, try to form groups and watch the film -- college mates, friends working in same company, etc. can book tickets in a group and watch the film -- if you mention it in advance (if you're in Chennai) our team will try and join u for watching the film. 8. Share links, news, views, opinions, tidbits, anything related to Nanju Puram in the Nanju Puram facebook page www.facebook.com/NanjuPuram Lets show the power of social networking media and word of mouth publicity... Give this 'indie movie' a 'fair chance' - Raaghav and The Nanju Puram Team |
