A movie is not a ONE MAN show - every single technician who works in the movie is important.... and Naga sir is no such person who would wanna shade the originality - and feels hes one among the team that brings out the movie ....

Folks .... credit is given to everybody ... please do not come to conclusions

small piece of INFO

AV script was written by Naga sir and Sarath Haridasan (co-writer) in ENGLISH almost 5 years ago ... The script went onto a lot of turmoil but finally dumped into oblivion. Shankar sir resurrected the same - but Sarath was out of country by then. Hence ISR was brought into the picture to write the Tamil version of Ananthapurathu Veedu ....
Oh..is it.?
I thought the story was written by ISR.. and the screen play was written by Naga and Sharath as both are screenwriters.. No wonder Naga get those ideas after working with ISR for lots of years.

But I still doubt that the story is written by ISR until i see the credits rolling.

PS: I do not have vengeance or hatred towards Naga.. I like him as many others do, but lesser than ISR

i still dont understand why you are comparing them?????

ISR is a writer -he brings his karpanais to lines

Naga sir is a Director - who brings lines to reality on screen .....

I never compared them.. I just told ISR should get credit for what he deserved when people discuss the film..
In the first few posts i did not see the name ISR mentioned.. So thought of giving a reminder. Nothing against Naga or anyone here...

Exactly Appu, In the titles right. Frankly how many common people knows Alaipayuthe was written by Selvaraaj. Ellaorum Mani Rathnam padam nu thaan solluvaanga.
I am not talking about creidts,Vino.I am talking about the imporatnt the directors given to the writers before they starting shoot, Mani sir himself a great writer, still he given respect to those writers who worked with him.A lay man really dont want to know who are all involved in the making, credits and all.Like common man,our current bunch of directors dont give any important to the writers.

I basically understood from Sarath (one of the writers) yesterday - he gives full credits to Naga sir as this was originally Naga sir's story .... He also said high about ISR - where ISR was the man behind converting the same to screenplay and penning the dialogues .... Initially he and Naga sir worked to bring up the English version but that was shelved for some reason .... ippo thoosi thatti eduthirukkaanga

From my personal experience about Naga sir ... he builds the story, and consults with writers / screen writers to shape up the story ... he takes their views and does not forget to give their due credit

Shankar banks on ‘Ananthapurathu Veedu’

At a time when the entire industry is waiting for ‘Endhiran’, director of the film Shankar is concerned about the fate of his production venture ‘Ananthapurathu Veedu’, besides giving finishing touches to the Superstar starrer.

For, sources close to him say he would take a decision on producing movies in future only after the release of the thriller, directed by popular small screen director Naga with Nandaa and Chaya Singh in the lead roles.

“Quality has been a watchword of films produced by Shankar. Most of his production ventures attempted to take Tamil cinema to the next level. At the same time, some of them failed to touch the breakeven,” sources say.

They add: “Following this, Shankar has decided to exercise extra caution before finalising projects for S Pictures. A final decision will be taken after gauging the feedback ‘Ananthapurathu Veedu’ gets.”

somehow the quality of the trailer depended on the bg music .... which came out much as a noise ..... that could have been probably due to the version that got released on youtube and many other factors .... infact i saw the same trailer on Shankar's blog too ... Is the music director Actor/Director Ramesh Krishan ?
