One more thing, You want ISR to work with big directors right ? if Maniratnam/Shankar directs ISR's story then ISR will not get the credits what he gets working with Naga.
Not at all, mani given enough credits respect to his writers,RGV for Thiruda thiruda, selvaraj for alaipaayuthey, and he had Sujatha in few films, not only for dialogues i guess.

Trailer is not impressing At least for me.
somehow the quality of the trailer depended on the bg music .... which came out much as a noise ..... that could have been probably due to the version that got released on youtube and many other factors .... infact i saw the same trailer on Shankar's blog too ...

Quoted as a family oriented super natural thriller .... this movie is a much awaited treat for NAGA fans ....

Beginning his career with the small screen .... Naga, (our very own hubber) ventures for his first silver screen debut with AV .... Naga has been very well known in the small screen industry for his first-of-its-kind super-natural cum thriller chinna thirai epics like Marma Desam, Chidambara Rahasyam and much more .... Called by his fans as "chinna thirai Mani Ratnam" - Naga has been known for his interest in subject beyond existence of natural or normal forces ....

The renowned novelist Indra Sounderarajan has brilliantly lined the screenplay for the story... Some ISR's writings were the heart-line for serials like Marma Desam, Chidambara Rahasyam, Rudraveena and much more ... He has been noted as King of Mystery ..... His knowledge on mythology and traditions are well known ....

All the best Naga

After I watched Ragasiyam and Marma Desam recently, I wanted him to direct a movie and see how he succeeds in "Small Duration" Big screens.

More credits should be given to the writer Indra Soundarajan. His writing made those serials a long-remembered serials.

My hopes in the films are in the order of relevance

Indra Soundarajan
Shankar
Naga(Only this guy knows how to direct Indra's stories )

I would like to see any one of the big directors to direct a movie in a horror genre. Only first timers/less-experienced are directing horror movies nowadays.

I want a good director to work with Indira Sounderrajan. Directors should stop multitasking like directing, story writing and screenplay. Works of good writers like IS should be used.

I see advt of Aananthapurathu Veedu aka Aavee in dailythanthi and the stills are good like vOr Iravu. Anybody noticed that both Katrathu Kalavu and vOr Iravu are going to re-release (if can ) and they are saying 'appo theatre kidaikkala ippo marubadi varrom' like words.

Karthik,

Actually I did not know ISR is the writer of this movie. It's obvious that director gets more focus than rest of the crew. Athaan nadanthuchu.

It looks they two have good rapport between them. Aana neenga avanga priyanumnu yean aasa paduringa.

One more thing, You want ISR to work with big directors right ? if Maniratnam/Shankar directs ISR's story then ISR will not get the credits what he gets working with Naga.

No Vinod,

I never meant that Naga and ISR has to part ways.. They are damn good together.. Actually i like them both together.

That's what I meant with this line Only this guy knows how to direct Indra's stories Actually this is a credit to Naga..

But it is ISR's stories which are more powerful and I m sure Naga came to light as a director of ISR's stories. As usual with film industry Director get's more prominence than the writers.. So I told we should give credit to ISR also.. As an information Naga is a co-writer for this movie...

Also I did not meant ISR to work with big directors.. I m very sure that big directors wont easily take up other's stories.. I want them to write a horror story themselves...

I also meant the same Vinod. Also I am not arguing. It's my wish to give credits where it is due. Obviously Shankar would have heard the story first and then only confirmed Naga to direct it.

Writers should be treated for their works.
KS Ravikumar always takes up other writer's stories. But in the end, he always gets blasted and not the writers.
So obviously big directors will not take that chance at all to use the other's stories..( I am not defending KSR here.. Just as an example)

Folks .... credit is given to everybody ... please do not come to conclusions

small piece of INFO

AV script was written by Naga sir and Sarath Haridasan (co-writer) in ENGLISH almost 5 years ago ... The script went onto a lot of turmoil but finally dumped into oblivion. Shankar sir resurrected the same - but Sarath was out of country by then. Hence ISR was brought into the picture to write the Tamil version of Ananthapurathu Veedu ....

This is not TRUE .... Naga sir was chosen by Shankar - yes, but later Naga sir receited 3-4 scripts and requested Shankar to choose. Shankar gave Naga sir the freedom to choose the script he wanted to Direct .....

Thats something not every person would do for a debut director. This shows how much confidence Shankar has on Naga .... This reflects the very potential of the man ...
