Let us list the The TOP TEN(not our favourite ten) charactor artists.

Nagesh : He even acted as a deadbody. What else needed to explain his talent ?

Charlie : One best example for his acting is :- panam-parikoduththa paithiyakaaran from Vetrikodikattu.

MS Basker : Mozhi and anjaadhey are testimonial for his acting skills.

Vadivel : Thevarmagan and M Magan... speaks volume.

Manorama : The lady nagesh.

Gandhimadhi : Arunachalam, samurai etc

Lakshmi Ramakrishnan : The mindblowing performance in her latest Yudhamsei

Jayaprakash : Pasanga, and the mindblowing performance in his latest Yudhamsei

Vijayan : udhiripookkal or 7G .. he excels

GM is also a very good character artist - 16V

Some of you may not know this, but Ghandimadhi started out way earlier. And she played NT's mother back in 1971. Very talented, and underused. She was very funny in Muthu.

How about raghuvaran & Prakashraj. Apart from their villanious roles, they are very good character artists.

Raghuvaran - Thulli Thirindha Kaalam, Mugavari, Love Today, Naerukku Naer, En swasa Kaatre, YNM

Prakash Raj - Azhagiya theeye, Arindhum Ariyamalum, Bheema (such a crap movie though)

Vadivukkarasi acted in Sigappu Rojaakkal as a young modern girl... That is the only role I liked so far.. good character Artist..

I have just watched Maya Bazzar ... wonderful movie.
Will soon get copies of movies acted by MR Radha and Balaiya. (but have seen clipings)
