We are looking for some information on the Tamil movie "Anni"

I very much remember a story by Sharat chandra Chatterji that I have read in my college days, the story is just copied in "Kusruthikuttan" (Malayalam) with some very minor changes.

And it is widely believed and mentioned in some articles that the film was remake of Tamil fiim "Anni" which again said to be remake to the telugu film (might be dubbed version also) "Deeksha"

I want to know who wrote the story for "Anni" (whom, we can consider the man who copied cleverly from Bengali story of Chatterji).

What a superb acting by G Varalakshmi, and the film was a box office hit. I hope the Telugu film was in the frorefront in the matter of success at the box office.

We have seen such stories several times in other languages also. Daughter in laws taking over the reigns of the Joint families (in particular Hindu Joint families) and showering mothers love on the kinsfolk at her in laws household. Chettathi, Kudumbini, Achani, etc in Malayalam , Bhabhi, Bhabhi ki choodiyan, Do Raste, etc in Hindi, Kuladeivam, Anbukkor Anni, Kulama Gunama , Thanga Thambi etc in tamil etc. But I feel that none of these films was as successful as Deeksha. (Bhabhi - Pandari Bai as Bhabhi in HIndi, might be an exception) It is quite unfortunate that either Anni or Deeksha is now available. I have enquired with film archives at Pune, they also dont have the print of the film Deeksha.
