hmm tuff kosteen,,. I was 50/50 over M.N.Nambiar and Raghuvaran, but had to vote for Raghuvaran for his sophisticated look and dialogue delivery

I presume it would be tough to compare artists across generations due to the fact that the demands and interests of people keep changing every 10-15 years. So, a revised option of comparing artists who are peers would be better. Your thoughts?

True!, but we have hubbers who are from different generation, so it would be ideal for a debate

infact I 'Loved' his villainism as sadist husband in one of his old movie with sujatha, then we get visual treats of his talent in moondru mudichu, 16 vayathinilaE ...etc to vettaiyan, immense talent

meedhi ellarum comedy-a dhaan irukkaanga including nambiar - ponga sir, neenga poi villaina ....esp M.N.Nambiar's effort to show lust - delikat posisan ......radha ravi, ponvannan, sathyaraj, napoleon, sarath kumar, ponnambalam all are in comedy list.....

ashish vidyarthi was so good but he got spoiled by telugu movies .....prithvirajan was neat as a villain in kana kandein......prasana was impressive in anjaadhey (seri seri, adikkadhinga)......

Did you know this??

Raghuvaran's occurred during the filming stages of several films, notably the high-budget Tamil film, Kanthaswamy. Raghuvaran's roles were later left unused and were replaced with Ashish Vidyarthi, which resulted in the film's delayed release.

Rajnikanth is nailed-on, I suppose.
That said, I like to watch different kind of villains.

Nazar is great, especially in Kuruthipunal

More attempts and compromises needed to be made in our industry, to make a full movie to explore/show the grey areas ala Udhiri pookal or Sigappu rojakkal. And films with a traditional antagonist made of reprehensibility and deceitfulness, putting(trying to put) on a facade, like Pasupathy in Virumandi.

Sense of humor among Villains is required as well - Nagesh in Aboorva Sagodharargal with remarkable repartee. I struggle to find anything closer to that, take a look at Kalabhavan Mani in Gemini, for crying out loud !
