Karthi and Tammu in Mumbai

Karthi and Tammu are shooting the climax of Lingusamy’s Paiyya in Mumbai and its suburbs. Action scenes involving Karthi and Milind Soman, and a song are being picturised.

After this 10-day schedule, the film will almost be complete except for a song and some patchwork. The music of the film by Yuvan Shankar Raja is said to be one of its highlights.

Paiyya as per sources will release only after Selvaraghavan’s long in the making Aayirathil Oruvan which is due in November end. Most likely Paiyya is likely to release for Pongal 2010.

Udayanidhi to buy Paiyya?

The Kollywood grapevine is abuzz that Udhayanidhi Stalin and his Red Giant Movies are in advanced state of negotiation to buy director and producer Lingusamy’s Paiyya.

Though nothing has been confirmed and it is good news for Lingu and Karthi, as the film will release big and give that extra edge to Paiyya, which trade feels has come out really well.

Recently a few scenes, a song and the trailer of the film was shown to a select preview audience who simply loved it.

The rain song Adada Mazhaida… picturised on Karthi and Tamannaah at the Athirapally waterfall is said to be a winner. Tammu it seems has never looked so sensuous on screen.

Meanwhile the film is almost 85 percent complete except for a song and few scenes. If Udhayanidhi buys the film it will be the big Pongal 2010 release.

This was the case with SMS. I guess it was the time Masilamani was being promoted. Sun refused to promote SMS and had told SMS dir to release it after a month. However, SMS team did not step back and released it on the scheduled date of Feb 14

and succeeded in BO too!
