Default Literature (for beginners)
Hello all

I am very interested in many aspects of this religeon, but i have learnt naught specifically, if that makes sense, i have a very wide range of interests both spiritual and moral, many of which appear to be a large part of buddhsim.

So i would ask if some people could reccomend some books , maybe something not so huge to start with , general teachings and such, so i can get a good base on buddhism

i do not understand the various "sects" or teachers specific subject within this vast religeon, this is why i ask personally, it is too early for me to know enough to have an idea as to which path to travel, could you please reccomend something that may ground me? thank you

There are Buddhist general study resources for all ages at the Buddhanet site, which you might find helpful. Those resources also outline a little about the history of Buddhism and the different Buddhist traditions.
