Default Buddha Altar
We have a Buddha Altar in our house, in the main room in back, which is on top of a low cabinet and I use it as a throne of sorts... sit in front of it and meditate, sing, play the guitar and pray before it, with Buddha sculpture.

I must be nuts to most, but I give that place honor and arrangement, not to get what I want, but deal with what I've been given, or am giving, or taking away ((deep sigh))

I just sit with my body and let all my active thoughts go, into Buddha's space, place, here, there and everywhere. Om

Hello Jay O,

I have found nice and cool what you do. Playing your guitar for "him" sounds wonderful,

Praise Buddha!

Oh, I keep a star carved out of wood right at the Buddha statue's feet, and I keep my mechanical pocket watch on top of the star when not in my pocket.

I've got lyrics from my newest song in back with Buddha too... lemme go get them. First I'll bow and sit for awhile, be a few minutes then I'll work on the song here...

To Buddha...

Breathe in life with me and breathe out life to all, giving
in your hands, with your eyes meet me here without lies
without having to be anywhere else alone, I am with you, always

Very nice, but the discussion threads in the forums aren't really for working on song lyrics, or for personal blogging, Jay O.

If you want to chat to others about a song you've written, you could do it in the Tea Room,

thanks.

Studying and practicing following the Buddha's teachings are the best praise to the Buddha.

From what I read, your pray and meditatation are your best praise to the Buddha.

I'm trembling right now, time to go sit with Buddha, and breathe easier, give away all stress by breathing out, now.

Do you have any questions about Buddhism that you'd like to ask to the rest of the group, Jay O ? Please don't be shy if you have.

Thankyou, Jay O - for what you share and what you offer on these Boards. I for one am grateful.

May all rediscover the place of peace and stillness.

May you and yours be well always.
