Hi, a friend of me told me about a buddhist book called BAM VISTA and i have looked on google and amazon and have no luck at all.

Could some one please tell me what kind of book it is??

If you can find no mention of the book on Google or Amazon, and if no-one here has heard of it, then you can be sure that it can never be found.

Maybe you or your friend got the title wrong? You will have to go back to where you heard of it, to get more information.

Is there anything specific you have heard that makes you want to know more about it?

It might be connected to the Buddha saying that kamma is intention.

THAT'S IT! he said something about karma to me as i was talking to him about something last night how i was very drunk and acted like a fool to be polite and i said to him about"when you hear people about you know acting like fools when drunk does that not affect your way of thinking about them?" and he just smiled and said"It's karma" then he said that quote and spoke a little about that bam vista book.

Yes. It makes a lot more sense.

My best advice is to stop getting drunk. Buddhist teachings do not go well with intoxicants.

If you drink you lose your control, engaging yourself in behaviors that endanger your integrity and that of others.

Karma talks about the consequences of your actions dependent on the state of the mind. If mind is under the effect of an intoxicant, consequences will never be good.

I find a lot of Buddhism interesting as i have always been a more spiritual person than religious, never really been religious to be honest actually.

I don't know your friend but it seems he has been compassionate, understanding the difficult situation one has when drinking in that way. Instead of confronting you, he is trying to make you aware of how bad is drinking.

Thank You, i shall do, my friend who is in his 60's btw and i am 35,likes a few pints himself,i usually sit as i did the day sit and chat with him in the pub as we have a couple of beers. I'm getting that he may be saying to me getting TOO drunk is bad considering the story of the state i ended up in and how i"behaved" he's not a buddhist but he sure speaks a lot of sense. I am for sure dedicated to cutting DOWN on my booze intake as the all or noting method does not work with me.

Can you point me in the right direction of a book for people interested in buddhism??

I stay in scotland! and have insomnia! arrgh! to me that site looks good for a curious beginner like me! would you say it is a good site to start of at?
