Luv22, generally speaking, the original post of a new thread should have some sort of question or topic that invites discussion and/or debate. I'm not sure what to do with what you wrote, because it has no question and doesn't really invite discussion. Would you mind adding something to make it more relevant to a discussion of Buddhist issues? Thanks!

Luv22, this may come across as a bit patronising and if it is I apologise and if its out of order then mods please fell free to remove it. Judging by your posts, Luv22, you seem very confused at the moment and your mind seems to be jumping from place to place and also fixating on certain things. You've stated that you have Bi-polar disorder, I have been diagnosed with Schizophrenia so I am not unsympathetic. Anyway I'm drifting a little, perhaps you should talk to your Community Mental Health Team about these confused thoughts you are having.

Gods or not, there is suffering, there is freedom. Why seek freedom? Because we suffer. Our lives, our plan.

Hi Luv22
Because I was so into Buddhism for a long time, that was why almost 10 years ago when I was a regular poster on some intellectual/spiritual forums which most posters believed in god, I found myself very hard to accept or blend in. I had learned a lot from Buddhism, Taoism etc. that rather denied the concept of God. But after I conversed with my spiritual friends there for a while I found that God was not what I thought. We, as the spiritual searchers, have our ways to approach the truth. And we always have choice to choose our ways, always.
I lately understand is that God is Tao/Dharma. If someone believes in God in the true sense, then he/she also believes in Dharma or Tao. There’s no need to judge which one is the bottom or the top of the ladder. Except after you really are climbing on the ladder you’ve chose because you have to focus on your steps, the steps of “that” ladder, not another ladder. That’s it.

Dear luv222, Namaste!

do not despair. Being at the top or being at the bottom of what? Of society, of a mental state, of competition....? Of education....all is just illusion. Everyone suffers. There is no one free of suffering. Take the little joy that you still can find along your way and nourish it like a treasure. Find a spot in your neighborhood where you can watch the movement of living things. There are so many almost invisible life forms to watch and see their struggle for survival. Then compare them with your own advanced body and mind. Find out how generous nature is and how precious a human body is. The trick is that you come totally to rest at such a secret spot and that you learn how to empty your watchful mind from your sorrows. Be the only human being at such a spot. Try to understand the ants, the bugs, the birds and butterflies in their interaction with trees, scrubs, flower's and soil. Talk to them...ask them to help you. It may sound simplistic...but just give it a try.
