I recently came back from a trip to San Francisco, and I visited a Thai Buddhist temple near the Golden Gate park. My uncle and I spent a couple of ours talking to Phra Anandapanyo, one of the few monks who spoke fluent English. This temple followed the teachings of the Ven. Acariya Thoon Khippapanyo. I'm just interested to know what anybody on here knows about him and his approach to teaching the Dhamma.

My old brother was very close relation with Ajahn Thoon. He spend the most of his holidays with Ajahn Thoon. Sometime he asked me to join with. I joined some retreat.

Phra Anandapanyo and his wife were a couple who have a good understanding what Ajahn Thoon teaching. He became a monk and his wife became a nun.
