Default Two Kinds of Suffering
Here is a very clear, enjoyable explanation of how the suffering of a run-of-the-mill person differs from the suffering of a liberated person. Most of us, I guess, will find ourselves somewhere in between the two.

Thanks Snowmelt!

This sutta is important. It tells that the teachings of the historical Buddha are not about phylosophical speculation as many people think they are.

I am really finding that term " disjoined " is capturing the nature of how it is - in seeing how inherently unreliable being joined to our feelings is, the longing then becomes for spiritual freedom, being " disjoined ". The use of this word also gives recognition, to me, that this movement towards freedom is an inward task which is most easily accomplished when we distance ourselves from the outer circumstances rather than nourish our unwholesome tendency to want to be joined to the pleasant, right here, right now
