Default meditation today
Therefore I was sitting meditating today, and got conscious of a tough 'mass' of dead/bad sensation in my own solar plexus. Ideas found mind of individuals who'd removed my own energy, and I kept training the letting go. A lot of things came up....realizations of how they served out of ignorance, rage at how they'd 'set the stage' for my doormat-status while I was still small, I cried some, and held training the letting choose each new point because it came. In the centre of letting go of the ideas and people, the notion of how I eat meat got up. 'I took out these creatures' strength by helping those who keep them in inhumane conditions almost all their life. Then ultimately they're killed'! I'd a short display of the idea 'never again' - then questioned whether I might keep that resolve for a couple of days. I felt waves of pity at my ignorance, since it felt like my meat-eating does originate from ignorance - like I do not understand, on the deep enough level, the need of caring for the creatures like I care for myself. That all happened extremely fast. ----------- Well I only desired to share....I would enjoy any comment/thought from folks who are vegetarian, or folks who are considering/wrestling with it such as this also. I'd want to keep this line from the GENERAL discussion regarding whether EVERYBODY should/shouldn't become vegetarians though....just searching for feedback on my knowledge. (I've cut my meat intake with a third or even a half previously 6-9 weeks but perhaps not removed the entire way.) Thanks again you all.
